Boxing Coach is a local-first training and video-coaching app. No account or sign-in is required. Your training history and original videos stay on your iPhone.
The app stores your training preferences, workout and timer history, challenge progress, AI coaching reports, imported or recorded source videos, video thumbnails, notes, and settings in the app's private storage. Deleting an analysis session deletes its source video. Settings → Delete all data removes the app's local content.
An analysis happens only after you choose a clip and tap Analyze. The app extracts 8–20 JPEG frames spread across a 3–30 second clip. It sends those frames, your selected coaching focus, experience level, stance, and training goal over HTTPS to our private proxy at api.bluealpine.xyz. The source video, its audio, your name, email, Apple Account, and notes are not uploaded.
Our proxy validates the request and sends the sampled frames to Google's Gemini API for a structured report. Frames are processed in memory and are not written to disk, included in logs, or retained by our proxy. Google processes the request as our AI service provider. The finished report is returned to and stored on your device.
Camera, microphone, and photo-library access are requested only when needed for recording or importing a clip you choose. Recorded audio is not sent for analysis.
Apple processes subscriptions. RevenueCat helps determine subscription status and receives purchase receipt information, product identifiers, and an anonymous app user identifier. It does not receive your reports, videos, frames, notes, or training preferences from this app.
The app contains no advertising SDK and no enabled third-party analytics SDK. We do not use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites and do not sell personal information.
If allowed, reminders and analysis-complete alerts are local notifications on your device. Notification permission is optional.
The app is not directed at children. You are responsible for having permission to record or analyze anyone who appears in a clip.
