Terms of Use — Contrast

By downloading or using Contrast (the “app”), you agree to these terms and Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

A wellness tool, not medical advice

Contrast is a timer, planning, journaling, and self-observation tool for cold and heat practice. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and it does not provide emergency help or individualized medical advice. Individual responses to cold and heat differ. Stop immediately if you feel unwell and seek qualified help when appropriate.

Safety

Do not use breath-holding challenges in or near water.
Keep the iPhone outside the sauna and outside environmental limits specified by device manufacturers.
You choose whether, where, and how to perform any activity and are responsible for suitable facilities, supervision, equipment, and judgment.
App suggestions are conservative defaults, not instructions to increase exposure or override professional advice.

AI summaries

Optional AI answers are generated from a compact aggregate you preview and a question you submit. They may be incomplete or wrong and never establish medical causation. A deterministic local fallback is used when the online path is unavailable. See the Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions

Contrast Premium is offered as auto-renewing weekly and yearly subscriptions.
The localized price, billing period, and any eligible trial are shown before purchase.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. A subscription renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of its current period, and the account is charged within 24 hours before renewal.
You can restore purchases in the app and manage or cancel through your Apple Account settings. Apple handles refunds under its policies.
Basic cold plunge and sauna timers, manual temperatures, check-ins, a starter plan, seven-day history, streaks, and one custom contrast routine remain available without a subscription.

Your content

Your journal content remains yours. You grant only the limited permission needed to process data for a feature you invoke. The app, design, and software remain the property of blue alpine gmbh and its licensors.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, submit unlawful content, or interfere with other users or infrastructure.

Availability and liability

We aim for reliable timers and local functionality, but do not guarantee uninterrupted online, HealthKit, notification, Live Activity, or AI service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

Contrast ist ein Timer-, Planungs- und Tagebuchwerkzeug zur Selbstbeobachtung und keine medizinische Beratung. Brich sofort ab, wenn du dich unwohl fühlst. Keine Atemanhalte-Challenges im oder am Wasser. Geräte außerhalb der Herstellergrenzen und das iPhone außerhalb der Sauna belassen. Premium wird als automatisch verlängerndes Wochen- und Jahresabo über Apple angeboten; Verwaltung und Kündigung erfolgen in den Apple-Account-Einstellungen. Basis-Timer bleiben ohne Abo nutzbar.
