Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Golf Swing AI, listed on the App Store as AI Golf Swing Analyzer, is provided by Blue Alpine GmbH ("we," "us," or "our"). Blue Alpine GmbH is the controller for personal information described in this policy. This policy explains what information is handled when you use the app, why it is handled, and the choices available to you.

We do not sell personal information, show advertising, or track you across apps or websites.

2. Information stored on your device

The following information is kept in the app’s private storage on your device:

• swing videos you record or import;
• coaching reports, phase scores, feedback, and comparison history;
• range-session journal entries, including club, shot count, typical miss, contact notes, and free-form notes;
• drill progress, preferences, goals, skill level, and handedness; and
• local usage-limit records used to show your remaining analyses.

We do not receive this on-device information unless it is part of an AI analysis request described below. Deleting an item removes it from the app. Deleting the app removes its local data, subject to normal device backups controlled by you and Apple.

3. AI swing analysis

AI analysis occurs only after you choose a video and tap the analysis action. To create the report, the app extracts selected JPEG still frames and sends them over HTTPS together with the information you selected for that swing, which may include:

• camera angle, club, handedness, skill level, shot result, and practice goal;
• video duration and the timestamp associated with each selected frame; and
• the drill catalogue needed to match feedback to available drills.

The original video file and its audio are not uploaded.

The request passes through our server and is processed by Anthropic’s API to generate a structured golf-coaching report. Our server does not intentionally persist the still frames or completed report; it processes the request and returns the result to the app. Anthropic acts as an AI service provider. Network infrastructure may temporarily process technical information such as IP addresses, timestamps, and error logs as necessary to secure and operate the service. We use this information for service delivery, security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting—not advertising or profiling.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

Subscriptions are purchased through Apple. Apple handles your App Store account and payment details. The app uses RevenueCat to validate purchase status and provide Premium access. RevenueCat may process an App Store receipt, product and entitlement information, transaction status, and a random app-generated identifier. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

RevenueCat acts as a purchase-infrastructure provider. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy. Purchase information is used only to provide subscription functionality, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and provide customer support.

5. Device permissions

Camera and microphone

Used only when you choose to record a swing. The microphone records audio with the local video, but audio is not sent for AI analysis.

Photo library

Used when you choose to import an existing swing video. The app accesses only the content you select through Apple’s system picker.

Notifications

If enabled, the app may show a local notification when an analysis finishes. Notification content is generated on your device.

6. Accounts, analytics, advertising, and tracking

The app does not require an account, collect your name or email address through an in-app registration flow, contain third-party advertising, or use cross-app tracking. The current app does not integrate a third-party analytics SDK.

7. Retention, service providers, and security

On-device data remains until you delete it or remove the app. AI inputs are retained by our server only for the time necessary to service the request and are not intentionally stored after the response. Apple, RevenueCat, Anthropic, hosting, and network providers may process limited information under their own documented retention and security practices.

We use HTTPS and reasonable technical measures to protect requests in transit. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, they use contractual and legal safeguards for international transfers.

9. Children

The app does not require a profile or intentionally collect a child’s name, email address, or contact details. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

10. Your choices and rights

You can choose not to run an AI analysis, deny device permissions, delete local reports and journal entries, cancel a subscription through Apple, or delete the app and its local data. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of personal information we control.

Because the app has no account and most data remains on your device, we may not be able to identify or retrieve on-device information. We may ask for enough detail to verify and respond to a request without collecting unnecessary information.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, service providers, or legal requirements change. The latest version will remain at this URL with a revised effective date. Material changes affecting information sent from the app will be reflected in the app or policy before taking effect where required.
